Visual experimentalist, technologist and photographer and Artist in Residence with The British Institute of Radiology. Hugh was awarded an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in 2014. Hugh’s work is a hybrid of art, science, technology, graphic design and pure photography and he is especially known for this experimental x-ray-based images over the last 25 years.
His ground-breaking Xograms have been utilised in a myriad of applications, including, commercially, for marketing and advertising, in TV and film, in education and by architects and interior designers in public art settings. They have also featured in the Royal Photographic Society’s International Images for Science exhibitions and many newspaper articles and magazines around the world.
